FAQ

Questions, answered.

Checked 26 October 2026

Is this about AI design tools?

No. It's for running the practice: proposals, minutes, letters, client updates and fees. The design work stays yours.

Can it draft planning documents?

It can draft supporting documents, like design and access statements and covering letters, from your notes and past examples. You check them against the scheme and the council's requirements before anything is submitted.

Does the ARB or RIBA have rules on using AI?

ARB's Architects Code, in force since 1 September 2025, has no standard written just for AI. Its standards on honesty, competence and communication still apply to everything you send a client, whoever drafted it. So treat your agent team's drafts like a junior's work: check the facts, the fees and the planning details, and stay responsible for what goes out. Read the ARB Architects Code.

Is client data safe?

Your knowledge pack is a folder on your own computer, and you choose which files the AI reads. When it reads one, the text goes to Anthropic or OpenAI to be processed, which is why it needs a paid Claude or ChatGPT plan, and the setup guide shows you how to switch off model training. Where your interview data goes.

Do I need to be technical?

No. If you can send an email and work a spreadsheet, you'll be fine. The step-by-step setup guide in your download walks you through it.
